Great audio books for business people

For most of us who are business people, we love to improve our business acumen via reading and taking courses, but we lack the time to do so.

And this is right where audio books have now started to play an incredible important role in our lives.

As a business person, you can now use the amazing value inherent in listening to audio books. Another huge benefit of audio books is that you never have to worry again about not having the time to finish, or having the will power to actually turn the pages of a book.

With an audio book you can enjoy the same value of any business book when preparing to go to work in the morning, when commuting to and fro work, etc.

If you are at loose for the specific business audio books to go for, below are 5 of some of the best that any business person shouldn't do without listening to:

1. How to win friends and influence people - by Dale Carnegie

I don't know about you, but the most important aspect of my business is PEOPLE. For almost every endeavor of life, especially business, we need people to keep the business going.

There aren't just the people that bring in the sales, these people are also the ones that make the sales a possibility in the first place. To ensure that we all succeed at this, we need to know "how to win friends and influence people".

That's why this incredible book by Dale Carnegie is a "must have" for any person in business.

This audio book contains such an enormous wealth of information that you will not only learn how to influence people in your workplace, in effect turning around more sales, you will also learn how to win over your friends and staff.

Now in audio book, you can enjoy this book from the comfort of your car while commuting to and fro your job.

2. It's not the big that eat the small… it's the fast that eat the slow - by Jason Jennings and Laurence Haughton

In today's business, one of the single most common words that we need to embrace is "CHANGE". In a constantly "updated" world, we need to be ready to embrace and implement changes to our businesses.

This audio book by Jason Jennings and Laurence Haughton, provides you with all the information on how to keep your company afloat, despite the ever-changing nature of business today.

Asserting that the fastest organizations in the world today will be those that will thrive, this audio book shows you how to make your company or business among these fastest, using the power of commerce, deployment of resources and good management of people.

3. Management Challenges for the 21st Century - by Peter F. Drucker

When it comes to business management and leadership, one name stands tall in any gathering of experts. His name is Peter F. Drucker.

Being an expert of the industry and writing about it for a staggering 80 years, Drucker is not just talking from theory. I don't think anyone could possibly have more experience in the field of business and management.

This audio book thoroughly examines how business people can handle the management challenges that the 21st century ushers.

4. Jack: Straight from the Gut - by Jack Welch

There's no denying the fact that Jack Welch is one of the world's most successful CEOs ever.

This audiobook will follow Jack Welch's steps through his career to where he is today, one of the most successful businessmen ever.

5. Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap - by Jim Collins

You can't argue with the fact that "without the techniques and strategies, no company or business can excel beyond a few days, weeks or even months".

Businesses and companies that have stood the test of time for many years know what to do and have done them right.

The author has taken quite some time to collate the results from his extensive studies of companies who have had business success for many, many years - looking into what they are doing so right, that their counterparts are not.

The power of the information contained within this business audio book can help any business person to succeed.

These 5 audio books can do a lot for your business and career if you take the time to listen to them and apply what you will learn therein to your business and career.

An excellent source that I have found for audio book downloads is Spoken Network. They can be found at:

How having insurance could actually boost the morale in the workplace

So how on earth could business insurance actually help everyone be that bit more motivated in the work environment? The thing that is really important to start with is that your employees need to feel safe in the workplace or they just cant or wont do the job.

Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is one of the best things to follow here as it shows in level two of the hierarchy that level two is comfort which is connected to safety. If you do not have the insurances that your employees feel are the right ones to have you are risking them not feeling safe which is going to leave them very unmotiviated which could leave them not working to thier full potential. Having insurance in the business not only makes the people who work for it that bit happier it also promotes a better relationship between management and everyone below. Many companies struggle to keep the relationship balence between thier management and employees and having insurance could help to boost this. Giving out the right insurances is giving back something to the employees for all thier hard work. If there is someone you are really unsure of or perhaps several staff members then you can get insurance out to get back any missing money that may be taken, of course this is likely to decrease staff morale rather than boost it.

Insurance can also cover things like breakage to glass and windows or if you are heavily dependant on computers or machinery you can get cover on this too.

Staff feel a lot happier the more the business is protected so instead of just having the mandatory Employers' Liability Compulsory Insurance it is perhaps recommended to have several other insurances on the business to not only make you more protected but also to help out the employees. Making them feel safer is a big step on making them happier in what they are doing.

Even if you are in a small factory or office getting office insurance could be the step you need in sending those employees up the hierarchy of needs.
